ÉCLORE AGRICULTURE - ABOUT RESEARCH

ABOUT THE RESEARCH

Éclore Agriculture provides young people with a platform to conduct and share their own research on agricultural sustainability. We welcome research projects that explore real-world agricultural challenges, new ideas, and possible solutions. Submitted research is reviewed by our team, and selected studies may be shared through the Éclore Agriculture website.

Where appropriate, Éclore Agriculture may further support selected research by conducting additional fieldwork, collecting data, or developing related research. In this way, we aim to help young researchers bring their ideas to a wider audience while creating opportunities to explore their findings further and contribute to more sustainable agriculture.

Why Éclore Agriculture

We Value Young People's Ideas

We believe that every meaningful change begins with an idea. That’s why we value young people’s perspectives and encourage them to share their research and ideas, knowing that even a single idea can be the first step toward a more sustainable future.

Encouraging Young People to Explore

We want to inspire young people to explore agricultural challenges, ask meaningful questions, and conduct their own research. Through research, they gain knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and develop a deeper understanding of agriculture and its environmental challenges. We encourage young researchers to explore their ideas, investigate real-world issues, and share their findings with others.

How Research Works

All research submissions must be related to at least one of the six agricultural fields listed below.

Each submission will be reviewed by the Éclore Agriculture team based on our eligibility criteria. We will assess whether the research is relevant to our focus areas and meets our submission requirements.

Research that meets the requirements may be selected for publication on our website, giving young researchers the opportunity to share their work and ideas with a wider audience.

For selected projects, Éclore Agriculture may provide further research support through fieldwork and direct investigation in real agricultural settings. This may include visiting farms, observing agricultural practices, collecting additional data, or conducting further research related to the submitted project.

Research Requirements

Age Requirement

Éclore Agriculture is open to young researchers between the ages of 14 and 25. Due to our focus on youth-led research, applicants must be between 14 and 25 years old at the time of submission.

Research Length

Research submissions should generally be between 1,000 and 2,500 words. This limit helps us maintain a clear and consistent format while allowing young researchers enough space to present their work and findings.

Originality

All submitted research must be original and independently developed by the applicant. Research cannot be a direct copy of an existing study, even if it is based on or inspired by previous research. Applicants are encouraged to build on existing knowledge while developing their own questions, approaches, and findings.

Use of AI

Artificial intelligence tools may be used during the research process for purposes such as research support, brainstorming, language assistance, or data organization. However, the submitted research must remain the applicant’s own original work, ideas, analysis, and writing.

Éclore Membership

Applicants do not need to be volunteers or members of Éclore Project to submit their research. Anyone who meets the age requirement and follows our research guidelines is welcome to apply.

Research Areas

All research submissions must be related to at least one of the research areas listed by Éclore Agriculture. Research may explore one or more areas as long as it aligns with our focus on sustainable agriculture.

Sources & Citations

Applicants should clearly identify the sources used in their research. Information, data, ideas, or findings taken from other sources should be appropriately cited and acknowledged.

Research Ethics

All research must be conducted responsibly and ethically. Research involving people, animals, personal data, or the environment must respect relevant ethical principles and obtain any necessary permissions or consent.

Language

Research submissions are accepted in English, Turkish, or French. Applicants are expected to submit their research in clear and understandable language.

No Fees

Éclore Agriculture does not charge applicants any fees for submitting, reviewing, or being considered for research publication or support. No payment is required at any stage of the application process.

Parental or Guardian Consent

Applicants under the age of 18 may be required to obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian for certain activities, including publication, fieldwork, interviews, or other research-related activities.

Publication Consent

By submitting a research project, applicants acknowledge and agree that if their project is selected, Éclore Agriculture may publish their research on the Éclore Project website and other official Éclore platforms. Applicants retain their rights to their original work, while granting Éclore permission to publish and share the submitted research for Éclore Agriculture’s educational and research-related purposes.
